It’s been just over a week since the song ‘Saranga Dariya’ from ‘Love Story’ was out. The song garnered a sensational response with over 30 million views. However in no time the song got into a controversy. The song was first crooned by a folk singer in a TV show many years ago. She is Komali and on this song, she claimed that she was informed in the last minute of the song launch.
However, the media has made it a big issue by inviting Komali for TV debates. During then Komali broke into details and then it’s obvious that the makers of ‘Love Story’ are at the receiving end of criticism. Lyricist Sudda Ashok Teja reacted to this song and added that he penned the lyrics and more over this song doesn’t belong to any particular individual.
But director Sekhar Kammula stayed silent and as the issue was getting bigger, he opened. Revealing what actually happened, director Kammula assured that singer Komali will be given the due credit and will also be inviting for the audio launch event and make her perform on stage. He also promised to compensate her appropriately.
So that’s it the issue is settled and it would be wise if Komali stops going for TV debates further.
