It’s Official: Kriti Sanon Joins Prabhas’ Adipurush

It’s official finally. Young Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon today joined Prabhas‘ multi-crore magnum opus, Adipurush, this morning in Mumbai. Kriti took to her social media pages and posted a couple of photographs wherein she was captured posing with Prabhas, Adipurush’s director Om Raut and Sunny Singh, the young actor who will be playing Laxman in this mythological fantasy drama.

“A new journey begins..One of my most special ones..overwhelmed to be a part of Adipurush,” Kriti tweeted, describing her excitement on kick starring the shoot for one of India’s most eagerly awaited pan-India movies. In the pictures, Prabhas is seen in a yellow long kurta, while Kriti looked gorgeous in a light pink chudidar.

Even though Adipurush’s makers didn’t make a formal announcement until this morning, Kriti being part of Adipurush has been an open secret all these months. Given her height and popularity, it’s needless to say that Kriti will make a perfect on-screen pair opposite Prabhas.

Adipurush is being directed by Bollywood filmmaker Om Raut of Tanaji fame. The film is being produced by Bhushan Kumar under his production house T-Series in association with Rajesh Nair, Retrophiles and Prashant Sutar. Adipurush marks Prabhas’ straight Bollywood debut. The film is scheduled to hit screens on August 11th, 2022.
