Nagarjuna Akkineni teamed up with ‘Oopiri’ writer Solomon for his directorial debut ‘Wild Dog’. Touted to be an action thriller, the film includes many terrorist incidents that happened in India, including the Gokul Chat bomb blast in 2007. Nagarjuna plays a National Intelligence Agency officer in the film. With the film gearing up for a release next month, the actor kick-started the film’s promotions. We came to know that the film is driven in a serious mode with no songs.
Wild Dog features Dia Mirza and Saiyami Kher in key roles. Both enjoy a good fan base but despite having glam attractions in the film, the unit decided to present the film in a serious mode. It could be a conscious decision taken by the makers to avoid breaking the serious flow of the film. Thaman S is on board to score the background music for this intense thriller.
Ali Reza, Atul Kulkarni, Avijit Dutt and others are also a part of the film. The film is scheduled to release theatrically on 2 April 2021. After the film ends a theatrical run, it will be streamed on Netflix.
