30 Percent Hike To TS Govt Employees

For nearly a few months, Telangana CM KCR has been luring the state government employees by keeping the Pay Revision Commission (PRC) in pending. This irked the employees but they had no other option rather than to patiently wait for KCR to take a final decision. Just when employees thought of showing their dissent, KCR made a formal announcement.

In the budget sessions of Telangana Assembly KCR announced this good news for all the employees. A 30 per cent hike will come into effective for 9.17 Lakh government employees from April 1st 2021. Also the state government has increased the retirement age of employees from existing 58 to 61 years while the gratuity amount to be paid at the time of retirement of the employee would be increased from the present Rs 12 lakh to Rs 16 lakh.

This pay hike is applicable to contract and outsourcing employees, home-guards, Anganwadi and ASHA workers, SERP employees, Vidya Volunteers, KGBV and SSA employees, grant-in-aid, work charged and daily wage employees.

Learning about this PRC announcement, Telangana government employees and unions have expressed their happiness. They thanked CM KCR for keeping his words.
