Kangana Ranaut’s Thalaivi attracted appreciation all over for the trailer. Kangana’s performance and her looks took away the spotlight, but there is one more very interesting shot that caught the interest of many.
That particular shot is of MG Ramachandran and his wife Janaki Ramachandran. Thalaivi is based on the life story of Jayalalithaa and needless to underline MGR’s part in it. But the actors who played the roles of MGR and his wife drew excitement from all sides, as they are the lead actors from Mani Ratnam’s yesteryear sensation ‘Roja’.
Aravind Swami appears as MGR while Madhubala plays Janaki Ramachandran in the movie Thalaivi. The frame that is now going viral has Madhubala serving food to Aravind Swami. Another poster was released by the Thalaivi makers with Madhubala and Aravind Swamy in it.
Many were seen tweeting and expressing their excitement in seeing the Roja couple together, nearly after 28 years of Roja. Aravindswami and Madhubala did not act together in a movie after Roja until Thalaivi. The fans of Roja are feeling the same vibes again now.
Thalaivi is directed by Vijay AL and the movie is set for release on April 23. Thalaivi is produced by Vishnu Vardhan Induri and Shaailesh R Singh.
