Remember the oldie from director Krish Jagarlamudi’s ‘Vedam’? He is Nagaiah and he passed away on the wee hours of Saturday.
In ‘Vedam’ Nagaiah played the role of Siricilla Ramulu and his performance received huge applause. But the appreciation did not fetch him opportunities. Ramulu played cameos in nearly 30 films. But after that offers completely dried up.
At one point of time, Ramulu was found begging on the streets of Filmnagar circles and in the pandemic, he received help from MAA and Telangana government.
Nagaiah hails from Desavarampeta of Guntur district. Recently his wife succumbed due to ill health and since then Nagaiah is not keeping good health too. This morning around 4:30, he breathed his last.
May his soul rest in peace!
