Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s comeback film Vakeel Saab has created a sensation at the box office. Despite the fact of the COVID-19 second wave scare, the movie posted some huge numbers during its first weekend. However, the real test starts today (Monday).
As the coronavirus cases are increasing every day, the governments of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh are planning to reimpose the 50% occupancy rule back in theatres. If that is implemented, it will be difficult for Vakeel Saab to end up in a safe zone. If the rule doesn’t get imposed, we can see Vakeel Saab doing great business because there are no notable releases this Friday.
However, the film managed to pull crowds to theatres during the weekend but it has to be seen if the same performance is possible on the weekdays. The holiday advantage of Ugadi (tomorrow) and Ambedkar Jayanthi (April 14) will also add to the benefit of the film’s collections but it is too early to predict the same.
The first-weekend collection reports are yet to be announced officially. On the flip side, fans are highly elated by Pawan’s role in the movie and are thronging to the theatres multiple times.
Directed by Sriram Venu, Vakeel Saab features Nivetha Thomas, Anjali, and Ananya Nagalla in the other important roles. Dil Raju is the film’s producer. Thaman scored the music for the movie.
