The film ‘Uppena’ was a sensational blockbuster which marked the debut of Panja Vaisshnav Tej from the Mega family and Krithi Shetty. Released on February 12th, the film raked up Rs 50 crore share at the box office and emerged as the biggest film for newcomers.
In another two days, ‘Uppena’ will be streaming on OTT platforms and now the film is also ready for television premiere. Leading entertainment channel, Star Maa has acquired the rights of ‘Uppena’ and the world television premiere is scheduled on this Sunday (April 18th). It would be interesting to see what sort of TRP, the film would be reporting.
‘Uppena’ is a romantic entertainer written and directed by Buchi Babu Sana. Devi Sri Prasad’s music was a sensation and it was regarded as one of the best musicals in recent times. The film also starred Vijay Sethupathi in a negative role.
