Uppena is one of the biggest hits in the Telugu film industry this year. Even though it was made with the newcomers, the film garnered a massive response from the viewers and grossed more than Rs. 100 crores at the box office. Now, it got a terrific response through the television premiere as well.
Uppena was premiered on Star Maa a few days back. It got a tremendous response from the viewers and garnered a huge TRP rating of 18.5. The theatrical result and super hit musical album helped the movie to get this massive viewership. Directed by Buchibabu Sana, this movie features Panjaa Vaishnav Tej, Krithi Shetty and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead roles.
On the flip side, Vijay’s Master, which also had a world television premiere on Gemini TV, managed to get only 4.8 ratings. There was not enough buzz about this film after the release and that affected its television viewership as well.
