Actor Puts His Bike On Sale For Oxygen Supplies

Actor Harshvardhan Rane, who is a known face for Telugu audience with his films Thakita Thakita, Prema Ishq Kadhal and, Anamika, is now putting his bike on sale to raise funds to bring in the oxygen supplies. India is fighting hard against the coronavirus battle and the chronic oxygen shortage is killing a plethora of people.

The actor took to Instagram Stories to share a picture and captioned, “Giving my motorcycle away in exchange of oxygen concentrators, which will go to the needy. Please help me find good concentrators in Hyderabad…” The gesture is indeed applaudable and praise-worthy.

As India is witnessing more than 4 lakh new cases per day, the health care system is also crumbling and vulnerable. People are struggling with no hospital beds, oxygen supplies, and life-saving medicines. Moreover, the scenes at overburned crematoriums are heart-breaking.

Amid the devastating condition, it is heartwarming to learn what Harshvardhan is doing. Along with him, a few other celebrities have also contributed their bit to the nation’s welfare. Netizens poured in grateful messages on social media for the actor, who was on headlines last year for his breakup with actress Kim Sharma.

After several countries, Israel joined the league in banning its citizens from travelling to India, citing high COVID infection rates there. On Saturday, India recorded 4,01,993 new cases, taking a total case tally to 1,91,64,969.
