The controversy surrounding the film ‘Indian 2’ involving director Shankar and Tamil production house Lyca Productions has taken a new twist. Earlier this week, Shankar filed a counter petition in the Madras High Court and threw the blame on Lyca and hero Kamal Haasan for delay in the film’s shooting.
Learning about this, Lyca has shocked Shankar in an unexpected way. As Shankar has confirmed his future projects in Telugu and Hindi, Lyca has written to the Telugu film chamber and Bollywood chamber against Shankar. The production house urged both the film industries not to let Shankar take up any project until he wraps up ‘Indian 2.’
Shankar has announced a film with MegaPowerstar Ram Charan and this will be produced by ‘Dil’ Raju. As the producer is a big name in Tollywood, now he will be left with no other option rather to intervene in it.
After #RC15, Shankar will be directing Ranveer Singh in the Hindi adaptation of ‘Anniyan’ (Aparichitudu). Pen Studios will be bankrolling this movie.
The case of Lyca and Shankar would come for hearing in the Madras HC on June 4th.
