Titled Aakasham Nee Haddhu Raa in Telugu, the movie impressed the Telugu audiences too. Suriya starrer has created multiple records already and grabbed the spot on the trending movies list.

1. The film was premiered on Amazon Prime Video and it has become the most-watched Indian film on the OTT platforms during the pandemic.

2. The film also became the highest profitable South Indian movie for Amazon Prime Video, to date.

3. Soorarai Pottru has also become the highest-rated and highest-voted Indian Movie On IMDB. The film has a rating of 9.1. The film stands after Hollywood classics like The Shawshank Redemption (9.3) and The Godfather (9.2).

4. It is also the most trended South Indian movie on Twitter.

5. The film also became the Most Searched South Indian Movie On Google.

The film was later dubbed into the Hindi language with the title Udaan. On the release day, the film was made available in Kannada and Malayalam as well. The film tasted success in all the languages. The film is based on the life of Air Deccan founder GR Gopinath.

Directed by Sudha Kongara, the film features Aparna Bala Murali in the leading lady role. Suriya produced the movie under his 2D Entertainments banner. GV Prakash Kumar scored the music for the film.
