‘Desam Manadi, Tejam Manadi’ singer Srinivas passed away

COVID-19 took away the lives of people from all walks of life. Irrespective of age, people are struggling for survival to battle the virus. Tollywood singer Jai Srinivas also breathed his last on Friday. He was popular for singing, Desham Manadi Tejam Manadhi song from the film Jai.

Neredukomma Srinivas aka Jai Srinivas was an under-rated singer. He started his career 2 decades ago and got his big break with the patriotic song from the film Jai. The song is still played at schools and colleges for every Independence Day and Republic Day. Later, he went on to sing more than 200 songs in his career.

Ongole Gitta, Jenda Pai Kaipraju, and some other films featured his vocals. Srinivas was undergoing treatment for Corona at a private hospital in Secunderabad and he passed away on Friday evening.

The music fraternity expressed shock over the passing away of Srinivas. Many singers and music composers shared their fond memories with him and posted their condolence messages.
