We have seen quite a few low-budget Telugu films head for direct to digital release after theatres were shut due to Covid second wave.
However, the makers of SR Kalyanamandapam, which stars Kiran Abbavaram and Priyanka Jawalkar have taken a brave decision of sorts.
They have turned down a couple of lucrative deals from OTT platforms and decided to stick to theatrical release. With a lot of uncertainty surrounding theatrical revenues and no update on possible re-opening of cinema halls, it surely is a brave call from the makers of the comedy entertainer to persist with theatrical release.
The makers have released a new poster to affirm that the film will release only in theatres. SR Kalyanamandapam is directed by Srikanth Gade and produced by Pramod and Raju. It stars Priyanka Jawalkar in the female lead role.
