Looks like star actress Kajal Aggarwal is shifting her focus back to Bollywood. Earlier this year, Kajal was seen in the Hindi film Mumbai Saga, in which she acted alongside John Abraham. Now, a new film was announced which will feature Kajal in a titular role.
Earlier this morning, a new Hindi film titled Uma was announced. Kajal Aggarwal will lead the cast of this movie. Touted to be a slice-of-life drama, this project will be directed by ad filmmaker Tathagata Singha. It marks his debut as a feature film director. Uma will be bankrolled by Avishek Ghosh and Mantraraj Paliwal of Miraj Group. More details about the cast and crew will be revealed soon. Apparently, the film will hit the floors later this year. Sharing the news, Kajal tweeted, “Looking forward to commencing Uma’s journey.”
Kajal acted in Hindi movies like Singham, Special 26, and Do Lafzon Ki Kahaani but none of these films helped her career in Bollywood. Hopefully, she shines with this new female-oriented project. Down in the south, Kajal is acting alongside Chiranjeevi in Acharya. She is also working for Nagarjuna’s untitled action thriller which is being directed by Praveen Sattaru.
