Highly Disappointed That Chiru Missed ‘Hello Brother’: Harish Shankar

On the occasion of director EVV Satyanarayana’s birthday today, fans held a special session on Twitter spaces last night to talk about his films. On Wednesday night, the session witnessed the attendance of over 4000 listeners. EVV’s younger son Allari Naresh, Harish Shankar, Sudheer Varma, Kalyan Krishna, BVS Ravi, Anil Ravipudi, and others took part in the session along with fans. ‘Hello Brother’ that released in 1994 will remain a memorable film in EVV’s career. Director Harish Shankar’s comments on the film during the session are trending viral on social media now.

“After watching Hello Brother, I felt very bad that my favorite hero Megastar Chiranjeevi missed a successful film. Chiranjeevi should have done the film. Having said that, Hello Brother is one film that introduced a brand-new Nagarjuna to the audiences. His comedy timing and dialogue delivery are peculiar in the film. After the success of Hello Brother, we started going to the morning shows of Nagarjuna’s films just like how we used to go to Chiranjeevi’s films,” Harish Shankar told in the spaces.

Harish Shankar mentioned many great things about EVV Satyanarayana and his films. Harish Shankar recollected his college days while talking about EVV Satyanarayana’s filmography. However, Harish’s comments about Hello Brother, especially the part where he revealed that ‘he was disappointed back then that Chiranjeevi missed the film’ did not go well with some of Nagarjuna’s fans on social media.

“It is natural for movie lovers to feel that their hero missed a particular film after it becomes a big hit. Real fans always feel like that about their heroes,” shared Harish Shankar after coming to know that the fans are hurt.

Harish Shankar did not disrespect Nagarjuna in any manner but only expressed his wish to see Chiranjeevi in Hello Brother. But, Nagarjuna fans are upset over the same. Harish even tried to justify the statement he made during the session itself but the fans were not happy with him.

On the work front, Harish Shankar’s next film is with Pawan Kalyan. Mythri Movie Makers will bankroll the film.
