By being vocal on every issue, Bollywood’s controversial queen Kangana Ranaut found herself in a big soup. Post the death of hero Sushant Singh Rajput, Kangana never stopped raising her voice and took on Maharashtra government and its CM Uddhav Thackeray. As a result, many cases were filed against Kangana in Mumbai and across many cities in India.
These cases (including a sedition case) have turned trouble for Kangana. In detail, Kangana’s passport will be expiring on September 15th this year and for the shooting purpose of her upcoming movie ‘Tejas’ Kangana needs to fly to Budapest (Hungary) this month and it will be an extensive schedule planned from June 15th to August 30th.
So Kangana applied for a renewal of passport with the nearest Regional Passport Office in Mumbai. As it requires police verification, the passport officials have done their bit and citing the sedition case registered against her by Bandra Police, they turned the renewal process down.
Based on this Kangana approached the Bombay High Court. However, the HC found Kangana’s application vague and postponed the case to June 25th. The High Court questioned why she did not approach her lawyer and court earlier. The court also asked to add the Passport Authority of India as party to the case.
With the case getting postponed by another 10 days, Kangana will have to wait in India. This could impact the shooting schedule.
