Tollywood’s Strict Rules & Guidelines For Shoots!

As the shootings of long-delayed films are likely to kick start, the Telugu Film Producers Council has convened a meeting and passed some resolutions. According to the resolution, it has been made mandatory for any actor or technician to have completed at least one dose of Covid-19 vaccine to participate in the shoot.

The production houses have been directed to take declaration from all the artistes and technicians working on their films that they have been vaccinated at least once.

The Producers Council also directed the artistes and technicians to give their first preference to the films that have earlier stalled due to Covid-19 pandemic. They have been instructed to complete their portions in the stalled films first and only then asked them to move onto the newly launched projects. Actors and technicians have been asked to extend their dates to the films that they had allotted earlier – before the second-wave of Covid pandemic. It directed the Directors and their team to cut short their schedules and to finish the shootings at the earliest.

Meanwhile, all the production houses have been directed to follow strict Covid-19 guidelines and measures during the film’s shootings even though the shoot would begin with the vaccinated people. All the artistes and technicians have been instructed to follow all the measures such as wearing masks and maintaining social distance during the film shootings.

Medical and health Insurance for all the actors and technicians in the 24 crafts of the film industry has been made mandatory. The responsibility has been assigned to the concerning federation or the respective union of the craft.

It is said that the Director’s Association has given its consent to the new rules and guidelines formed by the TFPC. Meanwhile, the TFPC had also convened a joint meeting with the Movie Artistes’ Association and the Director’s Association before forming the guidelines which indicate that all are on the same page.

Overall, it is a welcome move by Tollywood which would help the industry in the long-run as the threat of the third wave of Covid-19 pandemic looms large.
