Dil Raju Playing It Safe In Bollywood

Dil Raju is one of the top producers in the Telugu film industry right now. In a career spanning over two decades, Raju has a track record of producing several blockbusters in Tollywood. Of late, his films haven’t done as expected. Yet, he continues to hog the limelight and is often praised for his judgement of scripts. Now, Raju is planning to expand his market nationwide and is venturing into other film industries as well.

Already, he is in the works of producing a Tamil-Telugu bilingual film with Thalapathy Vijay. Vamshi Paidipally is directing the project. The movie will be officially announced soon. On the other side, Raju has already lined up three big projects in Bollywood.

He is bankrolling the Hindi remake of Jersey with Shahid Kapoor playing the lead role. He has also announced the Hindi remake of F2 in the past. Anees Bazmee will direct this film. Only a couple of days back, Raju declared the Hindi remake of Naandhi as well. Everyone is wondering why Raju is opting to do remakes in Bollywood rather than doing straight films.

Apparently, he wants to be in a safe zone by producing bankable remakes in the initial stages of his Bollywood career and then slowly wants to do straight films. If everything falls in place, Raju’s film with Prabhas and Prashanth Neel may become his first straight Hindi movie. On the whole, the star producer is showing is being clever and planning his Bollywood career carefully.
