​Toofan Trailer: Packs a solid punch

One of the Bollywood biggies that opted for a direct digital release by skipping theatrical screening is Toofan. Directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, this sports drama features Farhan Akhtar as the lead hero. The trailer of this movie had hit the internet a few minutes back.

Farhan Akhtar shared the trailer and tweeted, “The storm has arrived, are you ready? #ToofaanTrailer out now.” Toofan is the second film in the combination of Akhtar and Mehra, after the blockbuster Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. Going by the trailer, the movie seems to be tracing the life of a banned celebrity boxer who is all set to make his comeback in the ring. It is cut very well with scintillating dialogues and the background score.

Farhan played the role of Aziz Alia aka Ajju Bhai, who turns boxer from being a street fighter in Dongri. How he became a celebrity and how his life shattered after the ban forms the major crux of the film. Once again, Farhan stuns us with his physical transformation and reminds the days of Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. The trailer also makes us remember Salman Khan’s Sultan.

Toofan features Mrunal Thakur and Paresh Rawal in the other pivotal roles. It is all set to have a World Premiere on Amazon Prime Video on July 16.–
