After Losing Son, Actress Kavitha Lost Husband!

Tragedy has struck actress Kavitha’s family. Kavitha’s husband Dasaratha Raj passed away today. He was suffering from Covid-19 related ailments and succumbed to it. This left the family in utter distress.

Kavitha had lost her son Sanjay Roop on June 15th to Covid. Even before she comes to term with the loss, she suffered another major loss. Within two weeks, she has lost her husband. 55-year-old Kavitha is survived by two daughters. A former TDP leader, Kavitha is currently sailing with the BJP.

Started her career as a child artist at the age of 11, Kavitha later debuted as a heroine with K Viswanath’s Siri Siri Muvva in 1976. Kavitha acted as heroine in several movies and acted opposite top stars of that time. She later established herself as a character artiste. Kavitha acted in more than 350 films including Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam languages. Punadhirallu, Sarada Ramudu, Agni Sanskaram, Amma Rajinama, Premabhishekam, Gruha Pravesam and Prema Pichollu are just few to name. Kavitha is currently busy with TV serials.

With back-to-back tragedies, Kavitha is said to be deeply disturbed. Several film personalities and her colleagues have mourned the demise of Kavitha’s husband. In this time of grief, may God give strength to her and her family to overcome this loss.
