Telangana film chamber of commerce has expressed concerns over producers opting for OTT releases. The chamber has released a public letter to the producers and Andhra Pradesh government in this regard.
The chamber has requested the producers to wait until October to decide about the OTT releases in view of the larger interests of the Telugu film industry. “If the theaters do not open by October, you can consider OTT release,” the chamber’s Hon. Secretary, Sunil Narang has appealed.
He also appealed to the Andhra Pradesh Government to immediately make a decision about ticket rates. “The survival of theaters is at stake with such low rates. Theaters will close and many will lose employment,” Sunil Narang brought to the notice of the Government.
Meanwhile, the Telangana Film Chamber Of Commerce General Body will sit for an important meeting on the 7th of this month to review the current situation.
