Taapsee Attacks Reviewers For Criticizing Her Film

Actress Taapsee Pannu has landed in a new controversy for calling out criticism on her recent film Haseen Dillruba. The 33-year-old actress took criticism as a personal attack and lashed out at reviewers. She opined that personal digs are what pulls down a critic to a troller.

If we get into the story, one of the Twitter users pointed out a review of Haseen Dillruba and called the article stupid. Quoting his tweet, Taapsee wrote, “Movie reviewing is very subjective. Criticism of the film and character is welcomed and helps me learn n improve which I feel I have a huge scope of but personal digs is what pulls down a critic to a troller.”

In the other instance, documentary filmmaker and Delhi’s municipal councillor Yasmin Kidwai opined that the film promotes toxic masculine love and domestic violence. Responding to her, Taapsee wrote, “If we want films to not reflect the society we live in and constantly present what is the ideal world to be in then I think we should stop raising voice against all those powers too that suppress the voice of cinema when reality is projected.”

When people asked her not to pay attention to such reviews, Taapsee stated, “I made sure I get better. I am the last one who has ever gotten defensive in 11 years for any kind of stuff written about me anywhere.”

Meanwhile, several netizens have opined that none of the reviewers or critics have personally insulted Taapsee in their reviews and there is absolutely no need for her to react in such a strong way.
