YouTube pays me Rs 4 Lakh per month: Gadkari

The pandemic Covid-19 has disrupted the life of a common man. From private employees to daily wage workers, over a crore people have lost their livelihood due to the lockdown and after effects. But one union minister has earned in lakhs and this was revealed by the minister himself.

He is Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways, Nitin Gadkari. To review the progress of the new Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, Gadkari visited Haryana and the state government had hosted an event.

Speaking at this event Gadkari said, “In COVID time, I did two things. I started cooking at home and giving lectures through video conferences. I delivered many lectures online, which were uploaded on YouTube. Owing to huge viewership, YouTube now pays me Rs 4 lakhs per month.”

Gadkari’s comments have shocked many at this event including Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar who was also one of the guests.

Having said that, when crosschecked Nitin Gadkari’s YouTube channel, he has over two lakh subscribers which is no ordinary thing but the views are marginal to many of the videos. Here and there are videos which have crossed over a lakh views.

Nonetheless, Union Minister Gadkari made the most of technology and did pocket good money.
