The US Eases Covid Travel Rating For India

The US CDC changed its Covid-19 travel recommendation for India. Earlier it was a risk ‘Level 3: High’ and now it is ‘Level 1: Low’.

The US Centers for Disease Control eased the travel rating for India and some other countries too. It still recommends that unvaccinated Americans avoid travel to those locations.

The CDC also reduced the risk warning for people traveling to Chad, Guinea, and Namibia to ‘Level 1’.

The state department lowered its travel advisory for India to Level 2: Excercise Increased Caution’ showing the lower Covid-19 risk, but also cited the risk of ‘Crime and terrorism’.
