Already it has come out that with many buyers and distributors losing almost 60% of their investment through Megastar Chiranjeevi’s most recent film “Acharya” which tanked at the box office, Konidela Productions and Koratala Siva are compensating them. However, till date, no distributor is said to have received their compensation though talks have happened and returnable figures finalised.
A source close to Konidela Productions revealed that actually Ram Charan and Megastar Chiru returned their remuneration but that is not sufficient to repay all the distributors.
To give money to the other ones, actually, the producers are said to be waiting for money from Amazon Prime Video to be cleared. While Amazon agreed to pay more for the early screening of the movie on their OTT platform, there is a three month window for the payment to be released.
Right now distributors and a few other people associated with the payments things are said to be worried that Amazon is delaying the payment, while blaming that the producers could release the money from other sources rather than waiting for the OTT giant’s payment.
