AP deputy CM Rajanna Dora accused TDP of offering him Rs 30 crore to shift loyals. Going back in time, after the TDP forming government in 2014, 23 YCP MLAs defected to the then ruling party. Four of the YCP MLAs received cabinet berths as well and in the 2019 elections, only MLA retained his position out of the 23.
Deputy CM Rajanna Dora claimed that he too received a fancy offer from TDP back then. “I was told that I would be offered Rs 30 crore and the education of my children will be taken care of and then a plush residence in Amaravati would be allotted. I did not attempt this offer because I had faith in Jagan and because of me sticking to YCP, I’m now a minister,” said Rajanna Dora.
He added that he was not saddened that he did not become minister in the first cabinet. “Though Pushpasri Vani was picked over me, I never criticized her or troubled her. Our government is for people. Previous TDP government duped thousands of crore in the name of Dwcra Loan Waiver but YCP government has waived off Rs 27,000 crore,” said the deputy.
Invoking a satire against TDP, Rajanna Dora added that the party lured 23 YCP MLAs with money and influence and now TDP is restricted to 23 MLAs. Irony is that the 2019 elections were declared on May 23rd.
