BO: Brahmastra Beats RRR Hindi Advance At PVR

PVR chain is the largest cinema chain in India. According to reports, the advance bookings for the Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer Brahmastra have crossed RRR Hindi advance bookings indicating a massive craze for the film directed by Ayan Mukherji. The advances of Brahamastra has beaten both RRR Hindi and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 in two and half days flat at PVR chain properties.

Below are the advance figures as of Sunday night.

RRR (Hindi) – 2.19 crore – Thursday Night (Final Advance)

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 – 2.15 crore – Thursday Night (Final advance)

Brahmastra – 2.30 crore – Sunday Night (4 days left)

However, Brahmasta has higher ticket prices. The advances are open for only 3D shows. And the film has the highest ever rates for a Hindi film. So, if we compare based on the number of advance tickets sold…Bhool Bulaiyaa 2 has the edge here.

While Bhool Bulaiyaa 2 sold 90K advance tickets (Final advance as on Thursday night) in PVR chain properties, RRR Hindi sold 79K advance tickets (Final advance as on Thursday night), Brahmastra has sold 80k advance tickets till Sunday night and still 4 more days left. With this, Brahmastra is going to surpass both RRR Hindi and Bhool Bulaiyaa 2 in terms of advance tickets.

PVR chain is the best one for comparison due to transparency and the most number of screens opened for the advances. Overall, the Brahmastra craze in Hindi is huge. It is also the biggest ever release for a Hindi film.
