In a last minute shocker, Andhra Pradesh police has denied permission for Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Veera Simha Reddy pre-release event which was scheduled to happen on 6th January at ABN Grounds, Ongole. With this the organisers of the event are in utter shock and forced to look for alternative arrangements as the fans across two states have made plans to attend the event in Ongole.
The recent stampedes at TDP events that resulted in deaths of innocents are also reason for the security concerns raised by the police department. Veera Simha Reddy is all set for release on 12th January on the eve of Sankranthi.
Director Gopichand Malineni hails from Prakasam district. His last film Krack had also Ongole backdrop. Given this, the film unit decided to do event at Ongole. Makers are now looking for other venue to host the massive event. Mythri Movie Makers are bankrolling the film.
