NRI, Yesasvi Arrested By AP CID In Hyd Airport

In a shocking incident, an NRI named Yesasvi who is a TDP activist was arrested by AP CID while he was coming out of the Hyderabad airport in the early hours of 23rd December. Here is the story preceding and succeeding this incident.

Yesaswi, an NRI, is an active supporter of TDP and he takes to social media to criticize AP CM Jagan Mohan Reddy. Through his social media postings in the past, Yesasvi called Jagan a financial and political terrorist. He even claimed Jagan tried to become united AP CM by killing his father YSR. Due to the nature of these posts, AP CID filed cases on him.

Earlier in the morning today, when Yesaswi landed in Hyderabad to go to his place in AP, he was quickly nabbed by CID police and was taken into their custody. He was kept in custody for nearly 12 hours and was let out after he was served the 41A notice. He supposedly came to India to visit his ailing mother but AP CID arrested him.

Yesasvi is famous by the username Yash on social media. His arrest agitated TDP ecosystem and party veteran Atchannaidu condemned the arrest. Atchannaidu alleged that many YCP supporters who abuse the judicial system and judges are given top positions in the government, while NRI commoners who criticize Jagan on his failures are being sent to jail. TDP NRI wing has also condemned the arrest.
