In an abandoned house near Chottanikkara in Ernakulam district of Kerala, human remains were found in a fridge.
Human remains including a skull and bones were found stored in a fridge within the house. The skull and the skeletal remains were found wrapped in plastic covers and preserved separately inside the refrigerator. The house remained unoccupied for two decades.
The private estate property has been locked. The abandoned house is on a 14-acre plot at Palace Square, Eruveli East.
Police launched an inspection of the house after they received a tip at the Chottanikkara police station. A Panchayat ward member complained about anti-social activities at the property.
