Jayam Ravi Wife Asked Rs 40L/Month Alimony?

These days, divorces are not just post marital proceedings, but also extremely challenging financial situations. More often than not, we see husbands facing the brunt of this financial situation.

On that note, the latest developments regarding the divorce proceedings between Tamil actor Jayam Ravi and his ex wife Aarti are projecting an interesting story.

Reportedly, the couple who had announced the decision to live separately, appeared before the family court in Chennai today to partake in the divorce proceedings. Both Ravi and Aarti reportedly made it clear that there is no chance of reconciliation, and they wish to proceed with the divorce arrangement.

This was precisely when Aarti made an interesting proposal as she demanded an alimony of ₹40 lakh per month from Jayam Ravi to sort out her financials after divorce. This would round up to nearly 4.8 crore per year in alimony.

The court accepted the proposition and asked Ravi to respond to the same by June 12. Considering the nature of the heavy financial demand that has been put in front of him, it has to be seen how Ravi would react to the same.

In the meanwhile, Ravi had been publicly appearing with his new rumoured partner Kenishaa Francis as this new couple appear to be hitting it off.
