In what could be considered one of the biggest drug busts in recent years, the Mira Road police from Maharashtra have busted drugs indicate operation in Telangana. Drugs worth ₹12,000 crore were reportedly seized in this mega operation.
Incidentally, the police had busted an industrial drug manufacturing operation in the Cherlapally Industrial Area of Hyderabad. Massive volumes of Mephedrone drugs were seized in the drug bust that happened a short while back.
The drug cartel was reportedly using this industrial plant in the Cherlapally area of Hyderabad, which is registered in the name of Waghdevi Labs. The police began this risky operation after busting a 12-man group earlier which led to this discovery now.
During the bust, the police reportedly found several traces of dangerous chemicals and machinery that is used to produce large volumes of drug substances. 32,000 litres of chemical liquid was also reportedly found and seized by the police in this high stakes case.
This is also in tune with the anti-drug policy that is being taken up by the chief minister of Telangana, Revanth Reddy. These measures have supported police department to identify and trace out the drug trade practises.
