Her film journey has followed a similar path, steady and solid. She first caught serious attention with Beyond the Clouds in 2017, a film that showed her depth early on. Tamil cinema soon opened bigger doors. Playing Charulatha in Master opposite Thalapathy Vijay turned out to be a major milestone and remains her biggest box office success so far. She followed that up with strong appearances in films like Petta with Rajinikanth and the ambitious period drama Thangalaan alongside Chiyaan Vikram, proving she could hold her own in large, demanding projects.

What is coming next looks even more interesting. The next couple of years are packed, with Malavika stepping firmly into pan-Indian territory. Her Telugu debut in the horror-comedy The Raja Saab has already created buzz, especially with her playing Bhairavi opposite Prabhas. The film is set for a January 9, 2026 release.
