Politics may divide leaders, but basic respect should never disappear. This was visible in Vijayawada, where Janasena candidate Vangaveeti Radha Krishna and Congress supported Independent AB Venkateswara Rao greeted each other warmly during election campaigning in Gunadala on Sunday.

The two leaders exchanged greetings and hugged each other, even as they are contesting against each other in the Vijayawada municipal elections. The moment caught the attention of party workers from TDP, Janasena and Congress who were present there.

The interaction also received positive reactions on social media, with many appreciating the friendly gesture. At a time when political differences often turn into personal attacks, Radha and ABV showed that candidates can compete in elections without treating each other as enemies.

Winning or losing is part of politics, but mutual respect is what makes democracy stronger. Such moments send a positive message that political rivalry need not come in the way of human relationships.
