Yami Gautam, in a candid chat, recently revealed that before Uri: The Surgical Strike, she had gone through such a defeating phase in her career that she’d almost made peace with quitting Bollywood altogether, even considering a quieter life away from films. It was Uri and Bala that turned things around for her.
Alongside all this, Yami is serving stunning looks for Filmfare, from a sheer black corset gown to a lacy floor-sweeping dress, an edgy studded jacket, a chic monochrome striped top-and-skirt set, and a striking all-black look with a wide-brimmed hat, proving her fashion game is as strong as her acting range.
On the work front, Yami recently appeared in a cameo as Shazia Bano in husband Aditya Dhar’s blockbuster movie Dhurandhar: The Revenge. She’s now gearing up for her next, Nayi Naveli, a supernatural drama about a picture-perfect bride whose arrival transforms a chaotic Meerut household, only for her suspicious brother-in-law to wonder if she’s truly human. The film is directed by Balaji Mohan and also stars Rajesh Dubey.
