A new low-pressure area forming over the Bay of Bengal will bring heavy rains to Andhra Pradesh over the next three days, bringing much needed relief from the ongoing dry spell. Districts like Srikakulam, Kakinada, and Tirupati are likely to get moderate to severe downpours with thunderstorms. The disaster management authority has asked locals, especially farmers, to stay cautious and avoid staying outdoors during thunderstorms.
