Trump TV Goes Live After Media Boycotts Coverage

Recently, US President Donald Trump has ordered a ban on some of the leading media channels like CNN, MS Now and Politico from entering the White House, accusing that these outlets are peddling fake news on his government.

Following the ban on these reporters, other big networks including ABC, CBS, NBC, and Fox News boycotted White House television pool coverage in solidarity.

Now, the White House has officially launched a brand new 24/7 live streaming platform called “Trump TV to broadcast official news directly to citizens. This direct channel launch happened right after three top media groups filed a federal lawsuit against Trump administration to restore their blocked press credentials.

The new streaming channel runs continuously on YouTube and official social media accounts with regular updates. Trump defended his decision to block those news channels, claiming they are frequently write false stories and fake news about his government.

White House lawyers argued in court filings that the US Constitution protects freedom of speech but does not force government to give every reporter access to official press rooms.

Meanwhile, federal courts scheduled initial legal hearings this week to decide if blocked reporters must be given immediate access back inside.
