Two Indian Students Killed In Canada Plane Crash

Tragedy has once again struck the NRI community as two young Indian students died in a tragic plane crash in Canada while doing flight training to become commercial pilots.

The victims have been identified as Manoj Sivakumar and Srisaran who belonged to Tamil Nadu and Puducherry in India. The Consulate General of India in Vancouver confirmed the news and offered condolences to their families.

The unfortunate accident happened when a small aircraft crashed near Kisbey in Saskatchewan early in the morning. Both students were licensed pilots who rented the plane to collect more flight hours for acquiring their regular commercial pilot license.

The plane went missing a few hours after it started from the take off place and didn’t reach the destination. A rescue team from the Canadian military located the crash site in the evening and carried out the search. Sadly, both the Indian students were found dead at the scene by the rescue workers.

The Indian embassy in Vancouver said they are in touch with the local authorities and helping the family members. They are working on sending the mortal remains of the deceased students back home to India.
