Suriya, who is enjoying back-to-back hits with Karuppu and Viswanath & Sons, is gearing up for his next release, Scene. Nazriya plays the leading lady in the film, directed by Jithu Madhavan, who shot to fame with Romancham and Aavesham. Interestingly, as the film gears up for release in two weeks, Gen Z seems more excited about Naslen’s character.
The story follows an unconventional, eccentric police officer, DSP Inbaraj Pandian, played by Suriya, and his quirky team as their dynamics shift after they take on a high-stakes mission to catch the mysterious psycho serial killer, played by Naslen.
Naslen has already caught everyone’s attention with films like Premalu and Lokah, where his reach went beyond Malayalam cinema. Now, he is the big USP of Scene.
Suriya is a big star, and his villains are always bigger, but for the first time, a younger actor is playing Suriya’s antagonist. The combination itself is pretty exciting. Moreover, promotions have already begun, and even in Tamil Nadu, the craze for Naslen seems huge. New-gen audiences who’ve loved Naslen so far are curious to see how he pulls off the villain role.
Naslen plays a half-Malayalee in the film, which could help it gain traction even in Kerala. If the film gains positive word of mouth, it will surely get an added advantage from Naslen’s fan base. The film is hitting the screens on November 6th.
