Over the last one month or so, there is a decline of daily positive cases of Covid-19. On Monday, India posted 10,064 new infections and this count is recorded as seven months low. But for the stats, India is the second worst hit country of Covid-19 after the USA and the total cases count stands at 1,05,81,837.
1,02,28,753 people have recovered from the virus and the current active cases count is 2,00,528. The total death tally is 1,52,556 and the death rate is just 1.44 percent. 17,441 people got discharged and 137 people died yesterday. India has tested a total of 18,78,02,827 samples till date.
Meanwhile the vaccination drive is going on. So far 3,81,305 people have been vaccinated said the Union Health ministry and just on Monday around 1,48,266 people across 25 states were given the vaccine.
On the other hand, the health ministry is yet to update on the UK mutant virus count. There is a drop even in these cases with authorities taking adequate measures.
