Of late, South Indian movies have become the face of Indian cinema. The blockbuster successes of films like Baahubali, RRR, KGF and Kantara prove the same. Now, South Indian flicks started dominating the OTT arena as well. Prabhas’s Salaar and Nani’s Hi Nanna grabbed four positions in the top 10 list of Netflix India and proved the power of South cinema.
Nani’s Hi Nanna was premiered on Netflix on January 4. Since its OTT release, the film has been trending on Netflix. For the third consecutive week, it made it to the top 10 charts of Netflix India.
While the Hindi version Hi Papa secured the third position, the Telugu version Hi Nanna remained in the sixth position.
Salaar premiered on Netflix on January 20. Ever since its release, the film has been watched by many on the streaming platform. As a result, Salaar’s Telugu version topped the top 10 trending list while the Tamil version remained in the fifth position.
