US President Donald Trump announced a self-deportation program for immigrants in the USA without legal documents. If any of them wants to leave on their own, the USA government will pay for their flights and also provide some money to them. As part of this self-deportation programme, Trump wants to lure illegal immigrants to voluntarily leave the country.
Speaking in an interview with Fox Noticias, Trump said, “We’re going to give them a stipend. We’re going to give them some money and a plane ticket, and then we’re going to work with them — if they’re good — if we want them back in, we’re going to work with them to get them back in as quickly as we can.”
Usually, Trump is known for taking harsh decisions but this time, he has got a plan in hand. He wants to focus on mass deportations, but the current proposal persuades illegal immigrants to leave voluntarily and come back legally if they qualify.
Trump also plans to support the businesses, particularly hotels and farms. He acknowledges the fact that the farms lack qualified employees. He wants to bring in enough labour so that the farmers will not face any troubles.
Through this self-deportation, Trump wants to make it comfortable for people and also help the qualified ones to come back legally.
