In yet another tragedy, thirtytwo-year-old Abhay Patnala, a native of Eluru in Andhra Pradesh, passed away in the US on Saturday morning due to heart attack. He was a resident of Bentonville in Arkansas. His family and relatives in India were devastated on hearing to the news of sudden death. They urged the Central government to do the needful for the repatriation of the body.
The back-to-back deaths of several NRIs due to heart attack in the last three months has been a cause of concern for their families in India.
A week ago, Karthik Arisetty (36), belonging to Vijayawada, passed away due to sudden heart attack in the US. Recently, Karthik lost his father. He was married and the couple have a young daughter. Karthik’s death devastated his mother and wife.
In October, 37-year-old Hariraj Sudevan, a native of Kerala working as an engineer in UAE, died of heart attack. A couple of months ago, 40-year-old Ramandeep Singh Gill, a native of Macchiwara, died due to heart attack in Canada. He emigrated to Canada a few years ago to do business.
On September 3, 37-year-old Sai Krishna Rama Chander Raji Alluri, passed away suddenly after he went for an evening walk in Virginia, US. Reports stated that he died of heart attack. Sai Krishna belonged to AP and was a graduate from the Indiana Wesleyan University.
In August, Pratik Pandey, a 35-year-old Microsoft engineer, was found dead in the courtyard of the office premises. Reports mentioned that he died of a possible heart attack. Born in Indore, Pandey shifted to the US nearly a decade ago to pursue a master’s degree at San Jose State University.
On May 17, a software engineer from Konaseema district, also died of cardiac arrest. He was scheduled to return to his native Mamidikuduru by the month-end as he was scheduled to get married on June 15.
