Going To US To Give Birth? Be Ready To Get Visa Rejected!

At this point, it appears that the Donald Trump administration in the United States is finding every possible reason to deny travel and work visas to the international population. They have now come up with another viable proposition in this connection.

Now, the United States authorities have taken another big decision in connection with the visa issue and policy with immediate effect. It has been communicated that US Embassy officers can reject the visa application if they believe the applicant is going to United States only to give birth and get US citizenship.

U.S. consular officers will deny tourist visa applications if they believe the primary purpose of travel is to give birth in the United States to obtain U.S. citizenship for the child. This is not permitted, the communication from the United States Embassy stated.

This is in town with the earlier decision taken by Donald Trump to abolish the birthright citizenship act. While Trump had planned to implement this amendment from February, this year, several lawsuits and court cases were filed against the same and the judicial body stopped it from coming to implementation.

So as a reciprocal measure, the United States immigration authorities have decided to deny visas to anyone who is travelling to United States to give birth and get US citizenship. This could be considered an indirect implementation of the abolishment of birth right citizenship act.
