This is already known that the United States president Donald Trump recently expressed his interest to take over Greenland for security reason. However, this would take a lot more than just simple talk as Greenland is an autonomous landmass that is operated by Denmark on mutual grounds.
Incidentally, the representatives of Denmark and Greenland visited the United States and held a meeting with Donald Trump to discuss the series of events.
It is now being established by international media channels that Greenland could cost the United States of America in the vicinity of $700 billion. This is not an official figure, but reports suggest that acquiring Greenland could cost the United States Treasury a huge amount of money.
This would roughly convert to ₹58 lakh crore in Indian currency, and this would go down as one of the costliest expenditure by the United States administration till date.
In principal, the foreign minister of Greenland confirmed that Trump is indeed willing to acquire the country, one way or another. In that case, the United States could go all out to acquire Greenland at any cost, if that is what Trump desperately needs.
