A shocking incident of father shooting his own daughter over a petty argument involving US president Donald Trump came to light a year later after it actually took place.
Going by the latest reports, Lucy Harrison, 23, a British Woman was shot dead by her father Kris Harrison, who settled in USA, at his home in a Dallas suburb, after they argued about Trump and US gun laws on January 10th 2025. A few minutes after the altercation, Lucy was found lying down in her room with a serious injury leading to her death.
Unfortunately, the incident has been divulged only a year later because sudden deaths of UK citizens, even those abroad, are investigated by special courts in hearings known as inquests.
The victim’s boyfriend, Sam Littler, told how the young couple had traveled to Texas to visit Kris over the holidays last year and revealed the ordeal as part of the inquest. The dead woman worked for a fashion company in the U.K and the incident happened just before Donald Trump’s swearing in as US president.
On the morning of the shooting, Lucy had asked her drunk father, “How would you feel if I was the girl in that situation and I’d been sexually assaulted?” while they were discussing Trump. Kris responded that he had two other daughters living in their home, so it would not upset him very much.
Later that day, just before Littler and Lucy were supposed to leave for the airport to head back to the U.K., Kris took Lucy by the hand and led her to the bedroom where she was shot brutally.
The accused had previously been to rehab for alcohol abuse issues. He deposed that he and Lucy were watching a news segment on gun crime when he asked his daughter if she would like to see his gun. He then said they went into his bedroom so he could show her his Glock 9mm semi-automatic hand gun.
