Two Indians Shot Dead in Italy by Fellow Indian

Another tragic shooting incident has reportedly claimed the lives of two Indians in abroad. This time it is in a European country and that too during a local community gathering to celebrate a festival. 

According to the latest reports, two Indian nationals in Northern Italy have been brutally killed on Friday night near a Gurudwara just after they completed worshipping on the eve of Vaisakhi festival. The victims were identified as Raginder Singh and Gurmit Singh. They are residents of Covo and Agnadello in Italy. 

Moreover shocking is that the shooter is alleged to be also an Indian. The unfortunate incident happened just before the midnight on Friday just when they were leaving the warehouse used for celebrating the Vaisakhi festival. Both victims were declared dead on spot. 

Eye witnesses informed the local police that the assailant approached the victims with a firearm and opened firing before fleeing the scene of offence. The manner in which the crime was committed indicate that it was a pre-planned cold blooded attack and not a random shooting incident. The shooter is said to be known man within the Sikh community, but the motive is not yet established. 

The chilling incident has sent shockwaves across the Indian diaspora in Italy because this is the first time that such an attack has occurred among the Sikh community settlers in the last 15 years. Investigation is currently on as the police are gathering the identity of the accused through CCTV footage and eye witnesses.
