UK: Indian Family Found Dead in Suspicious Manner

Another tragic news has come as a big shock to Indian community as a family involving husband, wife, and their nine-year-old son lost their lives after falling from a 36th-floor apartment in South London in the early hours of 27 May 2026. The incident is being treated by police as a suspected murder-suicide, while a full investigation continues to ascertain the facts.

The deceased Indian origin family is identified as Rakesh Pai his wife Aditi Paralkar and their son Sid, who is just 9 years old. They fell approximately 400 feet from a luxury apartment balcony in the UNCLE Elephant & Castle tower block at around 7:29 AM on Churchyard Row, Elephant and Castle.

Emergency services including the Metropolitan Police, London Ambulance Service, London’s Air Ambulance, and the London Fire Brigade responded to the scene following multiple calls from neighbours. Despite extensive rescue efforts, all three were declared dead in the internal courtyard of the building.

Aditi Paralkar was a senior consultant in the construction sector who had worked on major infrastructure and development projects across the UK. The couple were described by neighbours as a simple and loving family with a strong focus on their son Sid, who reportedly suffered from a serious long-term kidney condition and developmental health challenges.
