From sudden health issues to untimely mishaps, a distressing number of tragedies cut short promising lives of Telugu origin individuals abroad and pushed their dependent families back home into profound grief in the last one year. The disturbing trend continues as another similar incident has taken place.
As per reports, a man from Nizamabad of Telangana named Thota Srinivas has lost his life in Bahrain after getting drowned in a swimming pool. Srinivas had migrated to Bahrain seven years ago seeking employment. He was working for a local company and was known for his active participation in various community service initiatives.
The fatal incident occurred on Sunday when he accidentally fell into a swimming pool, drowned, and lost consciousness. The company management immediately rushed him to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
Notably, he was recently honored with an official certificate from the Bahrain government for his involvement in a cleanliness drive organized by the ‘Telugu Eco Warriors’ as part of the ‘Clean Bahrain’ campaign.
The company management expressed their deep condolences and informed his family members of the tragic loss. Village residents stated that efforts are underway to repatriate his mortal remains back to his native village at the earliest. Srinivas is survived by his wife, a daughter, and a son.
